Form:

to be + verb + -ed/ 3rd form

The house is built.                                IS the house built?                      The house isn't built.

The house was built.                            Was the house built?                    The house wasn't built.

The house has been built.                     Has the house been built?             the house hasn't been built.

The house will be built.                          The house can be built                 The house can't be built.

The house is going to be built.               Will the house be built?                  The house won't be built.

The house is being built.                        Is the house being built?                The house is not being built.

 

 

Prepositions:

by for a person.

The book was written by Shakespeare

with for things

It was cut with a sharp knife.

 

If the preposition follows after a verb, it remains immediately after the verb

The burglars broke into their house.

Their house was broken into.

 

Personal passive:

He bought her a wedding ring - She was bought wedding ring.
