Free time and entertainment:
1)What do the students of our school do in their free time?
2) What are your hobbies? Which hobby would you take up if you have enough time and money?
3) What can you do in Brno to spend your free time?
There are many different students at our school and they have many different hobbies.
They all like art and History of Art so they like going to the galleries. Our school offers some interesting trips – to Italy in the third year and to France in the fourth one. We can see there many breathtaking galleries and museums and we can admire architecture of the towns.
A lot of students like playing sports. They go jogging, hiking, play floorball, football, volleyball or basketball. A lot of students also go dancing. The whole second year attends dancing classes in the autumn. It is a great fun. Quite a lot of students also like winter sports – downhill skiing, cross country skiing as well as skating.
Students also like spending their time on social sites like Facebook or Instagram. These activities might be time-consuming.
I like (painting, drawing, taking photos, playing sports…..)
Brno is a cultural town. There are a lot of possibilities how to spend your free time. You can go to the theatre, to the cinema (there are multiplex cinemas as well as small cinemas like Lucerna or Art.) There are many galleries as well. If you like animals, you can go to the ZOO, if you like sports, there are a lot of fitness centres or sports fields. If you like countryside, you can go to beautiful parks like Lužánky or a park around Špilberk or Petrov. You can also walk in beautiful forests around Brno or go to Moravian Carst near Blansko.
What else? If you like beer, there are many good pubs and restaurants, if you like coffee, you can sit in one of the beautiful cafés. Brno is very famous for excellent cafés.
Brno was also recommended by New by New York Times as a city which you should visit.
